1. Ownership of Site Content

All content on [website URL] (the “Site”) — including text, product descriptions, photographs, videos, graphics, logos, icons, page layouts, and the overall visual design — is the property of [Business Legal Name] (“we”, “us”, “our”) or our licensors.

This content is protected under the Copyright Act, 1957, applicable trademark law, and other intellectual property laws of India, as well as, where relevant, the copyright laws of other countries in which the Site is accessed.

This copyright applies whether or not a specific page carries a copyright notice or the © symbol.

2. Permitted and Prohibited Use

You may view, browse, and print pages from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use in connection with evaluating or completing a purchase.

Except as expressly permitted above, you may not do any of the following without our prior written consent.

  • Copy, reproduce, republish, or re-upload our product photographs, descriptions, or other Site content on another website, marketplace listing, print catalogue, or social media account.
  • Use our product photography to sell, advertise, or promote goods not purchased from us.
  • Scrape, systematically extract, or bulk-download content from the Site.
  • Create derivative works based on our photography, page design, or written content.
  • Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice on the Site or on any product packaging.

Linking to a page on the Site, and sharing a link on social media, is permitted and encouraged.

3. Copyright in Products and Custom Commissions

Purchasing a product from us, whether a Ready-Stock Item or a Custom Order, transfers ownership of that specific physical item to you.

It does not transfer copyright, reproduction rights, or any other intellectual property right in the underlying artistic design, carving pattern, or sculptural work.

Copyright in the design remains with the artist or with us, as applicable, unless expressly and separately transferred to you in writing.

This means you may display, use, gift, or resell the physical item you purchased, but you may not reproduce, mass-manufacture, or create copies of the design itself for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

For a bespoke custom commission where you wish to acquire design rights as well as the physical piece, this must be separately agreed and documented in writing before production begins, and will typically carry an additional fee reflecting the transfer of those rights.

4. Trademarks

[Business Legal Name], our logo, and any other names, logos, or marks identifying our business displayed on the Site are our trademarks or trade names.

You may not use them in connection with any product or service that is not ours, or in any manner likely to cause confusion, or in any manner that disparages or discredits us, without our prior written consent.

5. User-Submitted Content

Where you submit a product review, photograph, or testimonial to the Site, as described in our Terms and Conditions, you retain copyright in your own submission.

You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and use that content on the Site and in our marketing.

You confirm, by submitting it, that the content is your own original work and does not infringe any third party’s copyright or other rights.

6. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, please write to our Copyright Officer with the following information.

  • A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
  • The specific URL or location on the Site where the allegedly infringing material appears.
  • Your contact details.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.

We will investigate valid notices and take appropriate action in accordance with the Copyright Act, 1957 and applicable law, which may include removing or disabling access to the infringing content.

7. Counter-Notice

If you believe content of yours was removed in error, you may write to the same Copyright Officer with your contact details, an identification of the content removed, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.

8. Third-Party Content

Where the Site displays content licensed from, or attributed to, a third party (for example, a supplier or artisan collaborator), that content remains the property of its respective owner, and any use beyond what is displayed on the Site requires that owner’s consent, not ours.

9. Relationship to Other Policies

This Copyright Policy supplements, and does not replace, Section 10 (Intellectual Property) of our Terms and Conditions, which continues to apply in full.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Copyright Policy from time to time by posting a revised version on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a photo of your statues on my own website or social media?

No, not without our prior written consent — see Section 2. You are welcome to link to the relevant product page instead.

Who owns the copyright in a custom piece I commission?

You own the physical object; copyright in the underlying artistic design remains with the artist/Company unless expressly transferred to you in writing, as described in Section 3.

Can I photograph a piece I bought from you and post it on Instagram?

Yes — photos of an item you own, taken by you, are yours to share. This policy concerns copying our product photography, website content, or designs, not your own photos of your own purchase.

What happens if I submit a review with a photo?

You grant us a licence to use it on the Site and in marketing, as described in Section 5 and in our Terms and Conditions; you remain free to use your own photo elsewhere too.

How do I report content on the Site that infringes my copyright?

Write to our Copyright Officer with the details listed in Section 6; we will investigate and respond in accordance with the Copyright Act, 1957.

Does buying a statue give me the right to mass-produce copies of the design?

No — see Section 3. Purchase transfers ownership of that physical piece only, not reproduction rights in the design.

Can I use your logo or business name in my own promotional material?

No, without our prior written consent, as described in Section 4.
